Kootenay Shores Marina and RV Resort

Kootenay Shores Marina and RV Resort is being reinvented from a rich, 80 year old history of camping and boating in Balfour, BC. Andy and Carol, the developers, have owned the park, formerly know as “THE CEDARS LAKESHORE INN AND MARINA, for over 20 years.

In order to update all the systems, we needed to ask our long-time customers to leave. That was difficult for them but we needed to install a brand new septic system, which required a vacant park.

Andy and Carol have been in the resort and tourism industry for over 5 decades. As resort, hotel, hospitality and development professionals, they decided the best way to offer exceptional experiences on Kootenay Lake, a significant transformation had to occur.

Andy and Carol’s 3 adopted kids, grew up playing on the lake, boating, RVing and eventually, establishing a home. They look forward to meeting you and helping you acquire a lifetime experience to enjoy with family and friends.

Here is the new project and how it will work:

  1. You will buy an equal share in the company that owns the park and marina.
  2.  You will be offered to purchase 2 different Licences of Occupation, which entitles you to exclusive use of your RV site and boat slip. You can transfer these to your spouse, kids, friends, or simply sell them again to another excited buyer.
  3. You will be expected to follow the reasonable rules set out by the HOA and agreed to at time of purchase to ensure everyone who invests can receive peaceful enjoyment in the park.
  4. You may chose to let others decide these issues but you will have an equal say if you desire to get involved.
